1. How do I find the BPM of a song?

Use the BPM Tap Tempo tool. Simply play the song and click or tap the screen exactly on the beat. The calculator averages your taps to output a highly accurate BPM. We recommend tapping at least 4 to 8 times for the best accuracy.

2. How do I calculate delay and reverb timing for producing?

Go to the Delay Timing tab. Enter your track's BPM to instantly get precise millisecond (ms) and Hertz (Hz) values mapped to every musical subdivision (quarter note, dotted eighth, triplets, etc.). This makes syncing delays and LFOs in your DAW perfectly accurate.

3. Can I convert musical notes to frequencies (Hz)?

Yes. The NoteΒ·Hz tab allows bidirectional conversion. You can see the exact frequency (and MIDI number) for any given note (e.g., C4 = 261.63 Hz). You can also type in a raw Hz value, and the calculator will tell you the nearest musical note and how many cents sharp or flat it is.

4. How does the Key Transpose tool work?

Select your original key and shift it up or down by semitones. The tool automatically maps out the full transposed scale for you. Additionally, if you are pitching up audio like on a vinyl record or tape machine, it will calculate exactly how your original BPM will change based on the semitone shift.
